Salvation |
| |
|
As a
Southern Gospel Quartet, the ultimate goal of everything we do
is to exemplify God’s love to others, helping as many as
possible to understand that it is God’s will that all come to a
saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. As an extension of our
ministry, we feel that this website should offer that same
information and opportunity to all who would take advantage of
it. So, if you’ve never accepted Christ as your personal Savior,
we would ask that you take a few minutes to examine the
information below and also examine your heart and your
relationship with Jesus. Thanks,

CAN I REALLY KNOW I'M GOING TO
HEAVEN? |
|
|
|
Many people
face the most important question they’ll ever face without
really knowing where or how to find the answer. That question
is: “Can I really know I’m going to Heaven?” Wouldn’t it be
great to know that the answer to this question is a resounding
“YES!” How great it would be if there were some way we could
actually know we were on our way to Heaven. Well, there is a
way, and it can be found in God’s Word, the Holy Bible. Through
hundreds of years, the Bible has proven itself both
scientifically and historically accurate. It IS the Word of
God. We must simply take God at His Word. |

|
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT HEAVEN
IS A FREE GIFT. |
|
|
|
Ephesians
2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man
should boast.”
Heaven is not
deserved, and cannot be earned. |
|
|
|
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT WE ARE
ALL SINNERS. |
|
|
|
Romans 3:23: ”For
all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” This
verse tells us we are all sinners. and payment must be made for
our sin. |
|
|
|
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT THERE
IS A PENALTY FOR SIN. |
|
|
|
Romans
6:23: “For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord.”
Revelation
20:15: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of
life was cast into the lake of fire.” These verses tell us
there is a price that must be paid for the sin in our lives. |
|
|
|
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT GOD IS
LOVING AND JUST. |
|
|
|
Because He is
Just, He demands payment for our sin. But, because of His great
love, He provided a way for us to be pardoned, through Jesus
Christ.
II Corinthians
5:21: “For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us,
who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God
in Him.”
John 3:16
says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.” |
|
|
|
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT WE MUST
BELIEVE TO BE SAVED. |
|
|
This word “believe” means to trust
to commitment or to place our confidence in. It is more than an
intellectual belief, for even the demons believe (James 2:19).
- Believe that Jesus died for
our sin – we are to willfully trust in Christ alone for
salvation
- Believe that if we come to
Him by faith through repentance (change of mind), obedience,
and submission, He will save us.
|
|
THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT WE MUST
CONFESS HIM AS LORD. |
|
|
|
Romans 10:9: “That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (Jesus
Christ is Lord) and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved.”
We are told
that if we put our trust and confidence in what Jesus Christ did
for us, repent of our sin, and submit our will to Him to be the
Lord of our life, we can have ETERNAL LIFE. |
|
|
|
HERE'S THE PROMISE WE WERE LOOKING FOR !!! |
|
|
|
THE BIBLE
TELLS US THAT WE CAN KNOW THAT WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. |
|
|
|
I John 5:13: “These
things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the
Son of God: that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life…”
There it
is!! We are told that we most certainly can know. Wouldn’t you
like that assurance of knowing Heaven would one day be your
home? Won’t you simply call on Him now, ask Him to forgive you
of your sins, and come into your life to change your life and
become you Lord and Savior? If you want to have this assurance,
simply pray this prayer: |
|
|
Dear Jesus,
I know that I’m a
sinner. I confess to you my sins and I repent of them, leaving
them at your feet. I believe you willingly died on the cross
for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day to provide
the way of salvation, and I ask you now to become the Lord and
Savior of my life. Thank you for loving me, saving me, and
providing the way to eternal life. Amen.
Now, if you prayed this
prayer, or any sincere prayer of confession and repentance,
then according to God’s Word you are now saved and are assured
of eternal life with Christ in Heaven! We would love to hear
from you so that we can rejoice with you, and pray for you in
your new life as our brother or sister in Christ. Please go to
our contact page and send us an email to let us know about
your commitment to Christ. We would also encourage you to
speak to a local pastor or a Christian friend about your
decision so that you will have someone to pray with and talk
to about the questions that inevitably follow such a major
decision. Then, find a local, New Testament believing church,
make a public statement of your decision, be baptized, and
begin your service to Him as member of a strong church body.
